ZOMBIES ******* These are the regular enemies you find in the Dead Chaos game, in this case these are the researchers, Doctors etc of the faciliity who have turned into zombies due to the virus, zombies basically bite you from front or behind. Pretty easy to kill but its just best to avoid zombies if they are less and the area is wide enough to escape. Along the game you will find various kinds of zombies. They can go down on anywhere from 3 to 6 or more handgun bullets. GHOUND ******** The virus also affects animals, these are the dogs which have turned vicious due to the virus. FHOUND ******* In appearance they look mutated and completely red in color, and they are complete with razor sharp claws. !*!*!*!*!*!*!*!*(`'·.¸ ¸.·'´)¸.·'´)¸.·'´)*!*!*!*!*!*!*!*!* **************************************************************** ############################# # # # QUICK WALKTHROUGH # # # ############################# The game will start off with a cutscene shot of a dead police officer lying in a old dirty bathroom with CCTV like cameras. Kelly ( the lead character) has just woken up next to the dead policeman not knowing how she got there, or why she is there. She seems to be suffering from some form of memory loss. The cutscene ends after a while, and you take control of her. You can interact with most things by walking up to something of interest, and if you can interact with it, the INTERACTION hud on the bottom left of the screen will light up ( from grey to white). If it turns white, you press the action/interaction key(SPACEBAR) to interact with it. If you walk up to the door, Kelly will tell you that the door is locked and she needs to find a way to open it. Walk up to the dead policeman lying on the floor and press the action key. You are reading a report from Dave Mcmancis (the policeman) about how he came to be in the facility and some back story. You scroll these reports by using the ARROW keys up and down, or action key to exit the message. The dialogue is quite long, but you need to read it to get the access code for the bathroom door. The access code is: 668456 After reading the report, you pick up a handgun from his dead body. Go over to the door, and a security panel will be shown asking you to enter a 6 digit access code. Enter 668456 and press the enter key. If you entered the correct code, you will hear a message saying thank you, otherwise you will hear a message saying Invalid user, access denied! The next room is an old basement. At the start of going into the next room, a short FMV sequence of a zombie aware of you entering will play. After that, a short interactive sequence explaining the controls and giving you tips on how to use your weapon will play. After this, you take control of Kelly again, and the zombie starts heading for you. I find it best to use a combination of the keys WASD to move and aim the gun with the mouse. I also found running (W+LEFT SHIFT) to a corner of the room, and aiming easier to take the zombie down. After killing the zombie, the handgun automatically gets put away. In this game, the handgun gets drawn/put away when it is needed automatically. The door to the next room is locked, and needs a brown key to open it. Search the body of the zombie for the brown key. Once you have got the brown key, use it on the door and you will get a message telling you that you have used it. You now go through the door into the next room. You come to a small like hall with two sets of stairs. Go up the first set of stairs. In this room, there is a puzzle. If you try to go through the door up at the top of the next flight of stairs to the next room, Kelly will tell you that you need to restore power to open the door. There is a control box on the wall with sparks coming out of it. Walk up to it and press the action key to interact with it. The puzzle screen has a logo of dna stuff, and says Quantum DNA group. There are some letters in the middle of the screen A-O and at the bottom it reads: "Use your keyboard keys (A-0) to complete the puzzle above. IF red = 1 AND black = 2 Then what are the letters? here is your clue! The sequence of numbers for this puzzle is: 122_21112_211_1". The solution to this puzzle goes like this: The '_' on the sequence of numbers are the missing letters that you have to type. So the sequence of numbers is: 122_21112_211_1 If you look closely, there are letters above each of the reds and blacks. Red = 1, black = 2. so the first three: 122 is ABC. the next one is _, which is the first missing letter, this is D. If you do the same for the rest of the sequence of numbers, you will get DJN. These are the missing letters and is the solution to this puzzle. So type DJN, and you will hear a voice say Power On. The power is now on, and you can exit through the door at the top of the stairs. After going through the door, you are in a dark hallway. This is the first time you come face to face with Jim Barrows, the security guard. Jim explains to Kelly who she is and about the drug that has caused her to temporary lose her memory, and that her father is the lead scientist of a Government funded project there ran by Quantum Corp called project APOPHIS. He tells her that there are a small group of survivors looking for her father as he is one of the only ones who might be able to help the situation, but is missing. He tells her that CCTV last shows him talking to a Doctor down at the hospital ward. He tells her about the other survivors in the facility. After some more conversation he tells her to head down to the lower levels to look for Yan the programmer, and that he will meet up with her later. You now take control again of Kelly. You are in a hallway with four doors. Two of them have symbols on them, a red one and a blue one. The door straight ahead is locked from the other side and cannot be opened from this side. Go through the door opposite the door with the blue symbol on it. You are in some kind of techy lab or research area with two doors. You are greeted by another Zombie. Kill it and look for a panel to the left of the door with two human figures on. Read the report from one of the workers Geoff. He writes how one of the chimps got loose from the test area and bit another worker and how he had to be taken down to the hospital ward after acting like a wild animal. At the bottom of the report he gives you the access code to the door, it is: 911911 Type the access code into the control panel, and you will head into the next room. The next room looks similar to the last room, but with three doors. Another Zombie is in this area. After killing the Zombie, go over to the panel with the two humans like you did in the last room. Another report from another worker named Michael. He writes in his report that people are dropping like flies with sickness. Four of his staff have had to be taken to the hospital ward. He writes that he sent Geoff a text five hours ago telling him that he is locked in because one of the doors power has failed. At the bottom of the report is the access code to the next room. It is: 999666 Take the door to the right of where you came in. In the next area is a large room with lots of chimps in cages, and a control panel with hi-tech computer monitors. Go down to the bottom of the stairs. If you try to interact with the panel, you will be told that the server has crashed die to loss of power. Same thing with the door opposite the stairs. There is another door to your right that is not locked, go through it. Your in a high-tech office type of a room with a communication console, computers and tables with food on them. There is a dead security guard in a sitting position next to the shelves with boxes on it. If you try to interact with the communications console, you will be told there is no power. There are three large, thick wall panels that look like lockers. If you try to interact with them and pull the switches, a power off sound will play and tell you that it needs a connector fuse. Forget these things now, as they are part of a puzzle later, and you don't have the items yet. Check the body of the security guard lying on the floor. You will find a blue keycard. This is the keycard you need to get through the door in the hallway where you first met Jim. Once you have the blue keycard head back up to the hallway where you first met Jim. Use the Blue keycard on the door with the Blue symbol on it. In the next area, you will meet Yan the programmer. He is sitting at a computer typing away on a keyboard. You have a very comical conversation with Yan. He boasts about his programming skills and how he is a c++ expert. He tells you that he is trying to hack the security for this hall. He also tells you about a passage near the sewers with a boat, but this isn't very important right now, not until later in the game. After telling you more about the virus and other things, he unlocks one of the doors in this area, and turns off the big brother cameras that have been watching your movements. You are now in control of Kelly again. This is a very large hall with four doors. There are two doors with symbols on them, green and orange. These doors need keycards.There are some handgun Bullets to pick up, and a report to read from Jason about his computer being hacked in this room. Head to the door with the small steps in front, this is the door that Yan unlocked for you. Go through this door. You will be in a basketball type gymn. Head across the room to the double doors. All other doors are locked. You will be in a locker/shower room. There is a half naked woman sitting on the bench. Walk up to her and interact. She is dead. Take the orange keycard from her and exit back out to where you came in. Go back through the gym, and back out of the doors that you came in. You are now back in the main hall where you talked to Yan. Take the door on the left with the orange symbol on it. Use the orange keycard on the door, and enter the next room. You are now in the Hospital section. Your in a room with some dead people in beds. Both doors in this room need access keys to open. To the right of where you came in, there is a small table with a book on it. Walk up to it, and interact. You will read a report from a nurse named Lauran. The code to the Doctors office ( the room on the right) is: 323434 Once you enter this room, you will find Lauran dead on the bed. There are pickups in this room like health or bullets. Walk up to the bed and read the report from Lauran. Walk up to the shelves and cupboards near the x-ray charts and read the report from Doctor Chow. You learn that the virus was not an accident and that Dr. Chow has gone into hiding fearing for her safety. You learn that you(Kelly's) blood is the key to the antivirus. Your blood has a natural kind of immunity to the virus. You also get the access code to the door in the next room. It is: 873921 Head back out of the Doctors office, and to the door on the opposite side of the room. Enter the key code(873921) and go through to the next area. You are in the main hospital ward. There are about forty beds with dead people in them either side of you. Keep going straight ahead of you, to the door in front of you. You are in a room with some wheel chairs and barrels. Zombie alert! Go down the stairs to get to a better firing position, and kill the Zombie. The Door in front of you, has a DNA puzzle the same as explained earlier. The letters for this puzzle is BEL. In the next room you are standing in a school type hall with lockers in it. There is another Zombie in this room so watch out. Kill the Zombie. This door alkso requires a code. Look for a small sign near some gymn equipment. Interact with it, and the access code is written on it. It is:886757 Use the code on the door and go through to the next area. You will be met by Jim and Dr.Chow. Your in like another big hall with three doors. Jim introduces Dr. Chow to you, and you all talk. She asks about Lauran, and you tell her she is dead. More talk and she tells you that she needs to take a sample of your blood. You accept. You ask about your father, and some other questions. Jim says that he needs to go and find Yan and you tell them that you are going to look for your father. After some disagreement, you all decide to meet back here in this room. There is a door to the right side of you that is unlocked, and a door on the other side of the room that requires an access code. Go through the door on your right. You will be in a room with lots of desks and books, looks like a classroom. Walk up to the desk to the right of where you came in, and read the report. The code to the room outside of this room is: 968968 Go back out of the room, and back to where you talked to Jim and Dr.Chow. Use the code(968968) on the door in front of you, and go through to the next hall. You in a hall with seven doors.Only three of them can be opened. You have to deal with another Zombie in this room too. Kill the Zombie, and walk up to the pile of rubbish on the ground. Interact and read the note. This gives you the access code the first door on the left. It is: 864297 Use the code on the door, and enter the room. In this room there are pictures of Philosophers etc on the walls. Go up to the book stand thing near the alter, and read the report/note. Some of the quotes I thought were interesting! Get the access code and leave the room. It is:951951 Go down to the bottom end of the hall to the door that is locked. Use the code to enter into the next area. You will be standing in a very thin hallway with old pictures on both sides of the walls. The Zombie in this room can be a biatch! Best thing is to wait where you came in, for it to come to you, then kick it's dead ass! After killing it, walk to the door at the other end of this hall. There is another DNA puzzle required to get through this door. The missing letters for the puzzle are: CEL Type in the letters, and go through the door. You will be in a room with a piano and full of old pictures on the wall with two doors. If you go up to the piano and interact, you will get shown a message about searching for your soul. What you have to do here is search some of the paintings on the walls. When you find the correct one, you pull a switch on the painting, and it unlocks one of the doors in the room. The paining you need to look at is on the same wall as the piano to the right hand side. When you have found the correct painting, you will hear that something was unlocked. This was the door, nearest to the painting that you just interacted with. The music changes from one beethoven track to another one. Go through the unlocked door. Sad news. You find Yan sitting on the floor next to the cabinets with a bullet in his head. Interact with him. He has left a note. He tells you that he had been bitten by a Zombie, and didn't want to turn into one of the undead. So he decided to pop a bullet into his brain. He has left you a GREEN keycard, and instructions on what you have to do to get to the boat. He also gives you the key code to the locked door in the next room. It is: 124351 After picking up the Green keycard, goback out of the room, and back into the room with the piano and paintings. Walk to the other side of the room and enter the keycode that you got from Yan. You will be in a room with a large painting of a man and women looking happy together. You learn that the picture is of your late mother, and father David Talbert. No Zombies in this room, so just head for the door on the opposite side of the room. This will bring you back out into the hallway where you first met Jim again. The hall with the red and blue symbols on the doors. You need to go back through the door with the blue symbol on it, into the hall where you first met Yan. You now have the GREEN card, so use it on the door opposite to where you have just came in. You will be in a dirty abandoned looking place with stairs and about five doors. There are pickups in this room. Go up to the top of the stairs and take the door on the left. It is unlocked. You should be in a long hall with dirty walls a chandelier and a worn red carpet on the floor. You will come across a GHOUND zombie dog. These are quite easy to kill if you aim low. Kill it and go through the door at the other end of the hall. You will be in another similar hall with dirty red wall paper a chandelier and a marbel floor. Keep going to the other end of the hall, and go through the door at the end. You will be in a religious type room with a big cross on the wall, and help written on one of the walls. There are pickups in this room, and a Zombie waiting to take a chunk out of you. You need to kill the Zombie, then search it's body. You will find a small brown key. optional- look for health or bullets. Head back out of this room, you will be greeted by a mutated FHOUND. Kill it, or run away. Go back through the door to the room with the red carpet. Go through the door at the end, and back into the abandoned looking place. Don't go down the stairs, go to the door over on the left and use the small brown key that you just picked up from the dead Zombie. You will be in a small library. Go over to the table near the typewrite. Interact with the items there, and you will find a note left for you from Dave, the police officer. He will tell you how he met Jim, and will give you the key code to the door in the next room at the bottom of the stairs. The code is:771643 So head back out of this room, and go down the stairs. There is a door straight in front of you, when you reach the bottom of the stairs. Use the key code on the door, and enter. You will find the body of another security guard lying on the floor. Interact with him and pickup the connector FUSE. This is for the puzzle we talked about earlier, for the office room, near the room with the chimps. Head back out, and back through the door that you first came through to go back into the hall where you first met Yan. Go through the door on the opposite side of the room with no symbol on it. You should be back in the hallway where you first met Jim. The doors with the red and blue symbols. Go through the door in front of you with no symbol, and you will be back into the research area again. There is another Zombie to battle in here. Kill it, and go through to the next room. Another Biatch Zombie in this room too. Go through the next room until you come to the room with the chimps in cages again. Go through to the room with the guard lying dead on the floor. If you go up to the desk with the computer on it and read the note there it reads: "In case of a power failure, follow these instructions:|| Replace the connector fuse with a new one in the box nearest the communications panel. The server will then need to be reset from the main control panel in the next adjoining room. This should reset and restore everything to their default settings. || After a hard reset, security codes etc must be changed right away. || signed || Shaun." So what you need to do, is go to the big unit thing, that looks like a locker, near the comm panel, and place the connector fuse in it and pull the switch. If successfull, you will hear a sound that says power on, and hear the power start back up again. Once you have done this, go back out into the room with the chimps, and walk up to the console with the monitor. Interact and you will hear a sound showing that the server and power is now back online again. Walk over to the door that was previously jammed, it now has power and is unlocked. Walk though this door and into the next area. Your in a large warehouse type place with a forklift, crates and boxes etc. Head across to the other side of the warehouse and go up the stairs. Go along to the left of the landing to the door on the left. This door is not locked. Go through it. The next room is a kind of storage place, small room. Health pickup in this room. Head over to the dead body and interact. This is Mark, another security guard, that decided that rather than turn into a Zombie, he would blow his brains out. His note gives instructions on how to get to the passage with the boat. Take the RED keycard. Now a bit of backtracking is required. You need to get back to the hall where you first had a conversation with Jim, remember? with the RED and BLUE symbols on the doors? When you are there, use the RED card on the door with the RED symbol on it. Your now in a room with a pool of water on the left hand side. Interacting with anything near this pool area, you will discover that there are rooms underneath the water. There are steps to the side of the pool, but you can not climb down until the water has been drained. Near the large pillar to the right of the room, there is a console with the number 02. Interact with this console and pull the switch. This will drain the water, and allow you to climb down the ladder. After climbing down the ladder, you are in the sewer area where the boat is located. The boat is there, but you need the keys... Head out of the door on the right, and you are out into the city. You quickly come to realize that things out there have taken a turn for the worst. Head out down the road past the gates to the road. Go past the cinema to where the statue of liberty head has fallen on the ground. Behing the head statue is a dead security guard. Search the body, and pick up the boat keys. You now have the keys to the boat, so head back to the boat. Upon entering the sewer area again, Jim is waiting for you. He has bad news. Dr.Chow didn't make it. She is dead. The only two survivors left are you and him. Jim tells you that he managed to get a response from Lab47, the other non infected lab, and that they are waiting for you. He also tells you that your father made it out alive and is waiting for you at Lab47. He tells you that he isn't going with you. His daughter is still somewhere down here. After a sad conversation you tell Jim that you understand, and that you will send people back here for him and his daughter when you reach Lab47. You start the boat, and head out on the water. The secret passage to Lab47 is located on the edge of one of the walls (quarantine barriers) that have been put in place to keep the infected in. It's easy to find. Once you get half way down this secret passage, the credits start to roll. Can't wait for episode 2! THE END ------
